ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Brayden. I am a Black, transmasculine, and queer doula. I provide birth and postpartum support. I reside with my family on the Wahpekute indigenous lands -- Minneapolis, MN.
Not only am I there for physical and emotional support during labor (and postpartum if desired); my role is also to act as an advocate for the birthing person and their family.
I took my initial birth training with DONA International.
I took a DONA approved chest feeding training.
I took further training for Postpartum support and chest feeding through Women’s Choice Perinatal Services.
I took a training for Placenta Encapsulation through Women’s Choice Perinatal Services (services to be offered soon).
I took a childbirth education class.
I am taking various trainings currently thru Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings.

Thanks for stopping by! Here at Supportive Seahorse Doula Services, I contribute to your birth team with emotional, educational and physical support during pregnancy, labor and beyond. Whether you’re interested in finding local resources, labor and postpartum support or chestfeeding advice, I’m here for you.
I believe that everyone should have access to birthing and postpartum support no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, or body type!
SERVICES OFFERED
All pregnancies are different, and that’s why I work with each client to develop a customized plan for birth and beyond. BIRTHING SUPPORT
With my birthing support, I offer continuous support to you and your birthing team before, during and after birth. Throughout your pregnancy I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and step in to support you with anything you might need. I can give you access to local resources, whether that is information or referrals.
My labor and birthing package includes:
~An initial consult to see if I am a good fit to add to your birthing team.
~2 prenatal visits (approximately 1-1.5 hours each).
~Unlimited text messaging and email support during business hours from the signing of our contract until my final postpartum visit.
~24/7 on call period from your 38th week of pregnancy until birth.
~I can help you with writing your birth plan if desired.
~Continuous emotional, mental, physical, and informational support to you during labor until at least one hour postpartum.
~1 postpartum visit (I also have postpartum doula services available if you would like further support).
~Referrals to care providers and community resources for needs beyond my scope of practice.
My birthing support fee is $800USD with a deposit of 50% to hold your spot on my calendar.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
Pregnancy, birth and the early days of raising children can be stressful & possibly fill people with anxiety. My role with my Postpartum Support service is to ensure you get the best information and care possible.
The kinds of things that I can help support you with include:

3. Self-care
4. Infant care
5. Informational support
6. Advocacy
7. Referrals
8. Partner support
9. Household organization
Most people are interested in simply getting some sleep and/or a bit of time to themselves! Washing of baby’s clothes and bottles is also common.
Daytime support rate is $35/HR with a minimum of three hour time blocks.
Night support rate is $35HR with a minimum of six hour time blocks.
Holiday support rate is $50/HR (depending on availability).
TEXTING SUPPORT
Some people simply want to have someone available to ask basic questions about birth/labor and postpartum. And also to have access to local recommendations/referrals.
This service is available in 1 month blocks for $400USD/per month
I will make myself available to you via text message from 9am-9pm/7 days a week, with a response time within an hour.
